Checkout this clip from Brazilian TV, its a completely different angle to the one that keeps getting shown, you can clearly see Materazzi saying stuff to Zidane.

As far as violent French footballers go nobody beats Eric Cantona for sheer sophistication.



Here he does a kung fu kick and throws punches into the crowd, then appears at a press conference to simply announce "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think a sardine will be thrown into the sea."
