So many great songs on this. A bummer that G.G. totally changed his voice and started to write shitty and (more) obscene songs. this kinda has the "trying to be the Stones but doing so with the talent that they have" feel that bands like Cock Sparrer did well.

Yo La Tengo playing Blue Line Swinger live on WFMU!!! One of my favorites of their songs.

edit: What an amazing show! Some other highlights: Secret Blood (Dump), Roadrunner (Modern Lovers), Sex Drive (Embarrassment), White Light/White Heat (Velvets), Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash), Sex Bomb "extended jam" (Flipper).

If you missed it, please do feel bad. This stuff doesn't get archived.

Don't forget "TV Eye". That was HOT STUFF.

I don't remember them doing so many of their own songs in years past. This year, they did "Blue Line Swinger", "Drug Test" and "Can't Forget". So good.

And the Bryan Ferry impressions were wonderful all around.
