Let's talk about The Trip (Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon)!
I give it two thumbs up and a gold star. It's like a British Entourage. Less sex and more food.

I loved it as a film, didn't see the six hour version. I cannot figure out why US critics are so lukewarm on it.

It was six half hours I think, I seen it on Youtube before they blocked it, I'm surprised they turned it into a movie as it worked so well as a series with one restaurant per show.

I found it extremely charming and well-made throughout. I do liken it to Old Joy a bit as far a the simplistic style and the ending. But I also love Old Joy.
BTW there were MANY hysterical moments.

Coogan keeps getting better with age, the new Alan Partridge Shows were hilarious also.

MEN, TO BED, FOR TOMORROW WE GET UP AT 10:30ISH!
I've yet to see the BBC 6 episode version.
And if you like The Trip, check out "Tristam Shandy": Steve, Rob and director Winterbottom's first movie together.

Come, come, Mr. Bond. You derive just as much pleasure from killing as I do.

Does anybody know which Michael Caine movie or movies where "SHE WAS ONLY SIXTEEN! YOU WERE ONLY SUPOSSED TO BLOW THE BLOODY DOORS OFF!" comes from? I just watched "The Trip" again over the weekend and I have that running through my head on a loop and YOU WERE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLOODY DOORS OFF AND his voice gets low and very emotional, very emotional indeed.
