Where to buy vinyl in North Jersey
« on: June 07, 2009, 01:24:05 PM »
Dear Tom,

Aside from traveling into Manhattan or Brooklyn, where can one buy vinyl within, say, a 15 mile radius of South Orange/Maplewood?  Of course, I am hoping for a selection a little wider than what can be found in the box stores on Route 22.

Thank you sir.

Of course, if anyone else on the board knows, please chime in.

-Jon

Tunes in Hoboken. Is that a 15 mile radius? I'm not taking out my ruler.

Goodwill,  Starvation Army,  Hopice Thrift Stores, Flea Markets.

It's a little out of your range, but Vintage Vinyl on Rt. 1 in Woodbridge is great.

Oh, you mean records.  Never mind, I can't help.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Vinyl siding is fine too, as long as it was manufactured by the Reigning Sound in their heyday.

Again, can't help.  You're getting warmer though.

And then you'd be getting much warmer, you know, in the vinyl.

I can't help it - I'm having to listen to Gene Simmons' entire catalogue.  He only sings about that type of stuff!

Ewwww. Took me two posts, but now I get it.

On a different but related note, I saw a clip of comedian Jeffrey Ross on a talk show. Gene Simmons was on too. Jeffrey Ross turned to Simmons and said "Look at that tongue. The thing's so long it has a knuckle."  Gene Simmons looked mad.

If you are willing to expand your radius further South you should go to the Princeton Record Exchange.  Its great.
