missing profile pics

I notice some folks have gotten their pics restored and some havent. I'm in the haven't category. Just tried to re-upload a pic, but got an error. Is there any trick to this or is it just the luck of the draw?

I don't know if I'll get the lingo right here, but you have to host it yourself on a site like Photobucket or Imageshack, I do believe.  If this is what you tried to do, apologies for the useless advice.

The server got moved by dreamhost, there are a few things not working.
I intend to fix these today and maybe restore the old chat in this 99degree heat.
