I just find it strange that AWK is so well known these days considering his noise/experimental roots, I mean, he was on the Labyrinths and Jokes comp put out by Hanson a decade ago. He wasn't even indie, indies are pretty much trying to be rock stars, this stuff is much more marginal.
I remember being at a 25 Suaves show years ago and Pete from Bulb records going, "You gotta buy this, man, it's so good, I've only got 2 left", trying to get me to buy Party Til You Puke, next thing I knew AWK exploded, was on TV and everywhere, weird.
