At my one, they actually put the lettuce on after it's been toasted. Surely this makes sense!

I haven't really seen a sub shoppe that loads the veggies on before toasting. Come to think of it, I haven't seen a Wawa (been to plenty Wawas in Jersey) that refuses to toast subs. I guess the only one is in Roxborough, PA.

Lately, I've been getting a kick out of the Quizno's commercial where the guy says something like, "That's prime rib!  That's the king of all the meats!"  The dopiness of it makes me chuckle almost every time.

I love how you called it a sub shoppe, as in Ye Olde Quizno's Sub Shoppe.
