I think Wally Wackiman is deserving of at least an honorable mention for best guest :-D

Julie Klausner, John Hodgman, Aimee Mann, Todd Barry...I can't decide!

Best Heave-ho - That one girl and her wiseacre brother from two weeks ago. Maybe it's because I loved that call, I don't know. Oh god, Mr. Bungle tee shirt. I love it

Oh Yeah! Loved that too.

For worst call - wasn't there a racist guy who called badmouthing Bayonne? Or was that an older episode...

 3.23.10   3.30.10

Last chance for nominations!

If you feel strongly about a suggestion listed earlier in this thread, PLEASE help me track down the Date and Time of the call.  Otherwise it may not be found in time to be included!

Also, for those we all know will certainly be nominated, likely for multiple categories, please help me find some calls and/or quick sound-bytes from those folks!

HELP ME HELP BEN HELP YOU.

Thank you.

This may be stretching the term "guest." But I'd have to vote Karl the Repair Guy. (Sept 8, 2009)

Add another one to Spike's "Weirdos Exposed"

Best Call: Julie for "The Julie Show" (June 2, 2009)

Rookie of the Year: Pastor Josh vs. Wally Wackiman.

Worst Call of the Year might well be Spike's call when Martin Short was on.

An update - the awards show is not happening tonight due to some circumstances on my end of things.

IT WILL HAPPEN THOUGH.

Tom.

I haven't check the whole thread but I hope the Gerdnderinen bit gets included from july 7th (30mns 35scs in).  I don't know why but that bit is so funny to me.  Just the fact that Tom is obviously goofing on this guy and he just won't give up on trying to get his name said correctly.

Tom: What's up Gerdnderinen?

  :D

I think Spike should get a special achievement in sadness and delusion. He really went above and beyond this year.

Andy from Bath should be nominated as saddest and most delusional caller. (I vote that we collapse the two categories.) However, owing to his youth, I think he should not actually be inflicted with the award. Spike should win it instead, as a warning to Andy--and to us all.

Wally Wackiman should win rookie of the year. He went from caller to protege in the span of a few months. (It was unfortunate that Z-man tripped him up in the end.)

And despite my fondness for him, I think FoNPR should be disqualified for best caller because of his puppetism.

I THINK NOT, PETS. SADNESS AND DELUSIONAL? I DON'T THINK SO, LOVEYS.
