I need some suggestions. Nothing that is "wink, wink" dumb, I'm talking REAL dumb stuff. I'll start:
Alaskan Bush People:

Alaska Bush People aka Horrifying Dental Theatre.
More DUMB television:
Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International - Instead of doing ghost investigations like most people did them (setting up timed infra-red cameras on tripods in "haunted spaces", walking around with tape/mp3 recorders and asking questions hoping for ghostly voices on playback, etc.) these clowns do "investigations" in pitch blackness at night using low-light camcorders while secretly hoping they will have a scary event happen for the show. Founding member Grant Wilson was caught faking (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:2704rXOxOWUJ:weekinweird.com/2009/01/05/collargate-a-lesson-in-accountability/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) a few years ago. As far as I can tell, they never compared a control house (i.e., an unhaunted one) with one of their ten zillion "haunted" ones; they also never spent months in the same place to see if the weirdness would try to communicate with them, as the non-BS investigators would do. Also, the drama (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/aaron-sagers/ghost-hunters-amy-bruni-a_b_5419842.html). They also never wrote their experiences up as a paper and sent it off to the American Society for Psychical Research or the British Society for Psychical Research; having a TV show was "good enough." Speaking of science....
Mythbusters. I'm not going to sass these guys for being very good special effects technicians, it's just that they ran out stuff to do and decided "debunking" action scenes in movies was more important than building an E-meter and putting the junior Mythbusters through some Scientology auditing (because the lawyers allegedly said no.) They also would not go after some holy grails of technology, like RFID chips, because the show lawyers said no again. It doesn't help that Hyneman and Savage didn't get along (http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/videos/adam-on-jamie/), despite the joking way Savage put it. I'm still ticked they never got the JATO rocket car to work, and their semi-halfassing of Pykrete (an ice and sawdust mixture to make massive floating platforms in the North Atlantic by the British for hunting German u-boat wolfpacks in WWII.) They did 14 seasons of one hour episodes, and probably their best stuff could be whittled down to a three hour movie.

If you can get through 2 episodes of that Rob Schnieder series on Netflix...
