Title: Whom should Tom rob?
Post by: Sarah on July 18, 2007, 09:22:51 AM
I'm thinking Gene Simmons.  Or Hippy Johnny.

I think Tom should just rob Mike!  If Mike suspected anything, the tension in the studio could make for a few very interesting Tuesday nights...

I second Hippy Johnny!

So Tom would end up with a autographed photo of Kevin Smith. Probably a copy of Burden of Dreams and if lucky some old Dead tapes

Don't forget Stroczek and Together - hours of fun!

I thought I signed on as the safecracker. Now I'm getting my pocket picked?

What gives so-called FOTs?

As for Bruce's comments, I'll just say that I never keep my Kevin Smith "collectibles" on my person (that's what safe deposit boxes are for). Nor do I have a copy of Burden of Dreams (just Stroczek and The Mystery of Kaspar Hauser--the funniest Herzog double feature ever!) or any Dead tapes (cdrs only; I'm a soundboard snob).

I am too Mike

Sorry for the mistake in thinking you still have some old tapes floating around

It seemed as though Tom had some second thoughts when he found out you'd never killed a man.  I'd watch my back if I were you.  After all, he knows where you are on Tuesday nights, and I'm sure he has minions poised to do his bidding.  Hesh, for example, is probably eager to make amends.

I kept thinking of any attempt at such a heist turning out like the movie Bottle Rocket.  "Did you ever have a touch to lose, man?"

Also, Mike can take comfort knowing that at least the Ambrosia cd would be left behind.

You can all laugh, but soon enough I would be successful in the world of crime. I can feel it in my bones.

My squad will be announced shortly. I won't get into it here, but let's just say that we're going to have an Inside Man - someone with a badge, and I will double cross Captain Jack during the heist - he will be what we call 'cop fodder'.

Tom.

Tom already turned down Skag Winesack's many offers to knock over poker games...

Tom shouldn't rob anyone. He is a super hero, heroes don't steal. Heroes ROCK!!!!!

You can all laugh . . .

Who's laughing?  No one will be safe!  Well, I might be.  Crimestick, too.  Hubbard.  Reilly.  Other far-flung FOT . . .

Virtually no one will be safe!

OT might not be the inside man. I can think of a certain Newbridge officer who might be up for that sort of thing.

You want deep pockets for this sort of thing, and I don't get the sense of that from Captain Jack, Skag Winesack, etc., unless they are useful simply as co-conspirators.  I don't know about that.

My vote:  Gene Simmons.  He claims to be a big wheel, and with that attitude of his, obviously needs to be brought down a peg or two.

Hesh, having now positioned himself unwittingly as the affable drunk, has only distinguished himself as an easier target.  I'd watch my back if I were he, but I come back to my comment about deep pockets -- doubt if he's got 'em.

He should steal Spike's doo-wop collection and prevert gear and mail it all to the White House with Spike's return address.

I have a feeling this is going to be more like Trailer Park Boys than Bottle Rocket.

Give Tom some credit! You're treating this like he's making some kind of "Knights of Prosperity" spin-off. Gene Simmons? APMike? Come on, guys! It's either someone we'd never expect (Mo'nique? Bud Selig?) or someone who has truly wronged Tom (Maurice Kern? Micky Dolenz?).
