I don't know what made me laugh harder little August, the coloring, or the reveal of the cooler.

Great work

Amazing again!  And that's a snippet of one of my calls at the beginning!  Woo-hoo!

Looks like August is calling from someplace kinda seedy though.  Isn't his big shot uncle looking out for him  ???

Yes yes yes! And the Cherry Blossom Clinic banner is a nice addition.

August's voice is so gentle that I wanted it to look like he might be in some kind of danger. I like the idea of him getting kidnapped, using his one phonecall to contact Tom, and then the subject never coming up.

(For comedic purposes, I mean. I definitely don't want anything to happen to the little soldier. HI AUGUST!)

Another smash hit! I love it! Kibblesmith, I've said it before and I'll say it again: you are a talented guy. (Just not at Tetris.)

Kibblesmith,

With respect to the other fine, fine artists who populate this contest, your entries are far and away the cleverest and most fun.  There, I said it.

BTW, I read somewhere* that August is now 6'4" (though still only 140 pounds) and has a peach fuzz beard and moustache.

*I just read it on this screen, silly people.

As Mr. T once told a friend of mine at the airport, "I'll keep trying to make you proud."

Maybe I should've made August something lankier. Hopefully he won't take offense.

Yeah!  We should all just keep making "contest entries" forever.
When Tom ends the contest, let's all merely pretend we didn't hear that episode.

Fantastic job, Kibblesmith!

you're the master of puppets.

i love little august as a teddy. (and your idea of him being kidnapped made me laugh even more through the whole thing.)

GREAT JOB

HE'S CLEARLY A RACCOON.

WE CAN NEVER BE FRIENDS.

Wait, sorry, I mean, thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it.

I'm totally on board with this. sure I'd like to win, but it's so much fun making entries and seeing everyone else's entries I wouldn't mind if it went on forever.

after the contest is over we should just start a thread called "best show themed videos" or something so we can all keep making them.

Here here! Let's be honest, the "prize pack" will be cool and all, but it's just plain fun.

I'm looking forward to being beat by such awesome entries.

Would it be selfish of me to want to get into the act and into one of Kibblesmith's videos? I don't care. I need to know what animal I would be.

Great job again, Kibblesmith.

AP Mike, you'll need to talk more "on camera" to get into one of these, I think.

I'm confident that Kibblesmith could transform AP Mike into a puppet using something from his "camera-time" discussing his stint as a groundsperson at Great Adventure. (5/29/07 (http://www.recidivism.org/2007/06/fo_shizzle.html))

I'm not looking for a starring role. A cameo of me screening the mutants would be fine.

A definite possibility.

Wait, how can a possibility be definite. I think that's just called "The Future."

Anyway, I always need more things to cut away to during long silences...

I see cutting to Mike and every time he opens his mouth to say anything you cut back. The REAL question is what puppet he would be. How do you say "holding in down behind the glass" in felt?

I guess you could say fish "hold it down behind the glass," but fish have recently gotten a bad rep on the show (even though Stan would be delighted by the idea and probably make a few exotic recommendations). Hamsters hold it down behind the glass, too, for the most part. Snakes and other reptiles also spend a lot of time behind the glass.

How 'bout a porcupine? I'm sure some of the callers I've dismissed probably think I'm a prick, I mean, prickly.

It's amazing that within the span of just two videos, you've established a sort of puppetshow equivalent to the Pinter Pause, if that makes any sense.  Silence is your monkey; it's putty in your hands.  Nice.

I'd love to take credit, but Tom's the one who let's the microphone breathe. I just try to imagine what's going on during that time.

Silence is your monkey;

FOR THE LAST TIME, IT'S A RACCOON.

(jk, I knew what your words meant)

I second this, but Rainer, you make an excellent point about how effectively dead air works on so many WFMU shows.  It's like Pinter : Theater :: WFMU : Radio.
