Wow. I've never been turned into a cartoon before (not even one of those Great Adventure/Jersey Boardwalk deals where they draw an enormous head on top of a puny body). I'm honored, I think.

Thanks, KTB. I was just having fun making connections between Ian Curtis (Peter Saville's mountains, the title of that hit Joy Division song) and earnest arthouse stars (Herzog and Lukas Moodysson, director of "Together", one of Mike's weird movie recommendations to Tom). When I saw that the artwork for the domestic DVD release of Stroszek included that strong American Flag motif, I just couldn't resist putting Tom there ...

Mike, you are a supremely good sport. My hand doesn't always (ever) do what I want it to do when I'm drawing. If it gave you a chuckle or two, I'm satisfied.
