Title: GBV on mediocre sitcom
Post by: Laurie on November 19, 2007, 10:10:52 PM
So, I walk into the living room, and the TV's on. I hear "I Am a Scientist," and that shit got my attention. Then I see Christina Applegate put something in a microwave and getting ready for something. I don't know what. I have no interest in Samantha Who, so I turned it off.

I just thought it was interesting to hear GBV on some probably awful sitcom that would be canceled by now if it weren't for the strikes.

doesn't that shit kind of piss you off.  I know it's good for the band and probably good to get good music out there, but it feels like someone is stabbing me in the eye when I play something for my wife that I think that she would like and she's like "yeah, they play that on The Hills"

even worse is when I play something for her, she's not interested and then she calls me into the living room weeks later to ask who sings a song she heard on some shitty TV show and it's the very song I played for her earlier.

wow, I stayed mildly on topic in this thread.

Once I was watching that terrible sitcom "How I met your mother" and they played Spit on a Stranger by Pavement.
Hated it, hated it.

How I Met Your Mother isn't so terrible.  It's not great or anything, but...

There are certainly worse sitcoms, I just hate how "now" it always has to be.
