The documentary film, Sandwiches that You Will Like. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandwiches_That_You_Will_Like (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandwiches_That_You_Will_Like)
You can get it through Netflix. Features some wonderful Philadelphianess.
Some guy is currently making a film about the border between North & South Jersey. Here is one of his posts, where a South Jersey girl tells of her love of WaWa: http://nsjersey.blogspot.com/2007/09/of-football-lipliner-and-wawa.html (http://nsjersey.blogspot.com/2007/09/of-football-lipliner-and-wawa.html)
Overall, a funny blog.
(I'm originally from northern Ocean County, New Jersey, which is more culturally aligned with New York than with Philly. We got NY TV and ate subs, not hoagies. We said "bennies" and not "shoobies." Plus almost everyone was a Mets fan. But there was a fair sprinkling of Phillies fans, and the word "hoagie" appeared more often than can be explained by pure chance.)

I've seen this. It's awesome.

The song "Shamemaker" on Ween's new album is sung in a comically thick Philadelphia accent, also.

Anyone like Tastykakes?
-
Never tried a Tastykake, but I've gotta admit I'm kinda curious now.
-
They're really really good, though some of them have Trans Fats. The Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, which I think are the best ones, don't, however. I got some at a Turkey Hill convenience store somewhere on the PA/NJ border last night on the way home from my grandparents and they were so so good.

Does Drake make Ring-Dings? I have NYC friends that swear by those things. I've never tried them, either - I'm so uncultured (plus I'm in Ohio, which some would argue is the same thing).
-
Drake's makes Funny Bones.
When frozen, they trump all snack cakes.
