Title: a young Tom on Seven Second Delay
Post by: jpr on November 27, 2007, 06:38:20 PM
Perhaps this was already pointed out but I was listening to the podcast of Seven Second Delay for the Nov 21st episode (which was a rebroadcast of an episode from 1993) and I heard a young Tom phone in.
He calls around the the 11:30 mark on the podcast: http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/25310 (http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/25310)

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure it is him.

I don't know about that, but a few years ago, Chris T was replaying some old episodes of Aerial View from around 1994, and Tom definately called in a couple times in one of the shows.  The subject matter of the show had something to do with writing a comedy movie about Abraham Lincoln.

Haha that was great. Definitely Tom. If his voice wasn't a giveaway his description of the guys from Moving Violation as "slobs" surely was.  His movie idea of "The Potato" was excellent.

i am pretty sure the person who picks up on the other line adresses "Randy" as "Tom".

 Really?

I don't think that you could actually be a detective, but perhaps you could play one on television.

Welcome to the Forum, James Brolin.

That sure sounded like Tom to me.

Oooh, I think a sense of irony is required, and being a literalist will definitely make your stay with "The Best Show" short.
