Title: Happy Chanukah, my little latkes!

Happy Chanukah (or Hannukah or whatev) to all who are celebrating!

I live in an orthodox jewish neighborhood and just saw something very odd: A procession of mini vans (maybe 20 of them) driving down my street with gigantic electric menorahs strapped to their roofs. Many had Israeli flags.

True story.

I lit candles and wrapped my secret santa presents to celebrate!

i was gonna make latkes but they make my whole apartment (and everything in it) smell like potato pancake for the next 3 or 4 days...

my three-year-old  is upset about the lack of jelly donuts in our house.  she learned about that traditional hanukkah treat at a party this weekend.

erika, you probably live near a chabad-lubavitch synagogue.  they're the ones who put up the big menorahs every hanukkah.

Haha when I listened to the archive I thought the same thing. But in reality there were no tears. Just the squeals of one very happy Best Show fan!

I am happy Mr. Scharpling has abandoned the Supercaller or Banned for Life contest. Steve from Boerum Hill would send out a MySpace bulletin to all 12 of his friends, resulting in my ban, and I would be sad.
