Title: Three things:
Post by: pigasus on January 03, 2008, 10:36:07 PM
1. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/03/dane-cook-breaks-standup_n_79633.html

2. Marky Ramone did a live DJ set here in Toronto recently. He was billed as "New Rock Pioneer" or something.

3. People keep telling me I look like Kevin Smith. Should I shave off my beard?

That is all.

1. It still counts if you don't actually tell jokes?

2. Did he take a break to do a live reading?

3. Yes.

I'm glad Christian Bale is finally attempting a physically grueling role.

And beard or no beard, if you look like Kevin Smith you might want to see a cardiologist and/or a nutritionist.

1. I don't see how 7 hours of standup would be any fun for either the comedian or the audience, I don't care how much food you buy me. Actually, I take it back. If Zach Galifianakis was doing 7 hours straight, I'd be there in a second.

2. He didn't play drums, did he?

3. I love beards, and if you think you'd look like a weirdie without one, don't shave it. Let's look at it this way: If you thought Kevin Smith was cool, would you shave? I mean all things considered, he's not a bad looking guy, even if he is kind of irritating.

Don't worry, Hot Rockin' Ronny is even now planning a longer comedy set in Davenport, Iowa.

I was so excited about this url, that someone had jumped on my bandwagon and agreed that Dane Cook had broken stand up.

From a chat I was in just now (un-Best Show related):

user: Jersey is one of the strangest places on earth
user: it's got its own unique brand of weird craziness about it
user: and few people capture that like Kevin Smith

How's Chapelle gonna top this?  He has to make 3 million myspace friends!!  Poor bastard.

I like how the Laugh Factory owner said it reminded him of Richard Pryor.  Yeah.  It's called cocaine, people.  Remember?
