I just got a book* for work that focuses on changes in arts participation. One chapter looks at how young people are using new technology to create art. Among the young gamers, Harry Potter costume makers, and comic book artists quoted in the chapter is Petey (from the pre-cart boy era).
Described as a "quirky thirteen-year old artist," Petey tells the researchers about his participation in "The Best Show," admitting when he first called, "I was kind of a jerk". He then describes his transformation to helping out with the show. The authors bring it to a weak conclusion with "he shares media because other people seem to like what he makes." The FOT website address also shows up in the endnotes.
Way to go, Petey. Is this something that will help out on the college application?

I'm very happy for PD. He was so cute as a little kid!
Put down the bong, PD. :(

How interesting. I was just listening to a few older episodes and was surprised to hear how reviled Petey was in those early days of the show.
Petey, if you happen across this, are any of your Ken and Andy fan fiction stories still out there?

If you didn't, you'd deserve a whupping. (Although perhaps a tsk-tsk over such jadedness in one so young would be more appropriate.)
