Title: Favorite scenes?
Post by: TL on March 11, 2008, 12:32:30 PM
In retrospect, I think this is amazing, and one of my favorite moments:

The way that Shamrock is so completely on board with Stringer and his Robert's Rules approach to drug dealing - all the way up to taking minutes on a criminal conspiracy - was definitely one of my favorite bits.

Just a few off the top of my head:

Omar in court

Omar & Bunk

Frank Sobotka going to his last meeting with the Greek

Stringer & D'Angelo ("Where's Wallace?")

Dorvid, where (and when) were you seen in the finale?

Thought of a few of my own. Probably want the sound down some, if you're in work not doing work.

This one sums up a big theme of the show, and gives a good early look at Lester Freamon, Smartest Cop In The Room:

The spot where Stringer Bell finally cracks, and one of those scenes that reminds me of how Wood Harris often got overlooked on the show. Plus, we get a brief glimpse into Avon's DVD collection:

Two more where I haven't seen clips around:

Season 4, Royce shaving and getting himself into "fighting shape" for the election battle with Carcetti.  Probably the first time they gave us a look at what Royce must have been like once and a warning of what Carcetti was going to become.

Early season 2, McNulty happily working away at a math problem with some graph paper in the harbor patrol offices. Maybe the best example of what drives McNulty, that combination of wanting to prove how smart he is, wanting to actually solve crimes and wanting to screw over as many people as he can in the process of doing both.

Another one I thought of:

The scene is Season 1 in the detail's basement office where the team is attempting to move a large desk into Daniels's office.

EDIT: I just now realized Wes already listed this one above. Oops!

Ah, fuck you all.

Jason, darling... I don't have a link to a specific torrent but I'm pretty sure we used http://btjunkie.org/

Or, PM me your mailing address and I'll see if I still have the files so I can burn you a disc.

An American hero if ever there was one.
