I decided to do smaller resolutions and re-evaluate each month this year. It's been working out ok:
January- Get our shit together- 50% success
February- Better physical health- 90% success so far
March- Better mental health- 75% and climbing
April-?????
I'm thinking about using April to lessen the importance of food in my life (the old "eat to live or live to eat" debate) Meal replacement shakes for breakfast brunch and lunch and then a reasonable meal. Not slim fast, the good shit like Muscle Milk.

I think there's something to be said for new month's resolutions. Maybe I'll try it.

I too think it's not a bad idea. Of course, it's all moot for me: my willpower is at its lowest ebb these days, so any resolution would simply be a source of grief, despair, and self-loathing. My best bet is to hunker here in neutral and wait for the tide to turn.

Actually my resolution for the month is to just get through the month.

yeah thinking in terms of the month is a bit too ambitious, i think i need to scale down to week-sized resolutions. if i make this one through sunday, it'll be a success.

Ok! I made it through Sunday. New objective for secret resolution: let's go with Thursday, then Sunday from there.
Posting here is like reinforcement. If I falter then I falter in the face of the FOT.

In April I will lose 3-4 lbs.
Ummm.... as soon as I get back from my vacation to the south where I'll be eating loads of BBQ and Mexican food. :-\

My best bet is to hunker here in neutral and wait for the tide to turn.
