Billy Crystal's Jazz man character

or

Robin Williams on American Idol?

He is doing Yakov Smirnoff's act in 2008. Complete with Brokeback Mountain joke.

What the HELL was that?  Did someone forget to tell this guy the Cold War was over?  I made it through 1:48.  I sincerely hope he had planned on doing 5 minutes of Muslim impressions and the network told him to go back to the shop and this was the best he could come up with in 2 hours notice.  That's the only way this even makes sense.

HEY EVERYONE! GAY PEOPLE DRESS FUNNY! IT'S FUNNY WHEN DUDES TOUCH EACH OTHER!

It's 1985 in that guy's head. How soon until Robin Williams slips up and starts calling AIDS "the GRIDS." That Brokeback reference was the most recent recent thing in his schtick, and even that pretty bottom-feeding.

What kid in the audience got those Russian jokes? How quiet was it in that theater? I didn't see anyone smiling while he was talking. It might have well have been a laugh track.

Also, in those leather pants, he looks like Bono.

Rob Schneider, too? Jesus, they're really scraping the barrel.

Also, Crazy Paula has Amy Winehouse hair. They both have drug problems, so I guess it's a good choice!

At least he knows his audience! At this point, the only group with even a slight chance of laughing at the ol' RW shtick, is a big dumb American Idol crowd held hostage under the glaring lights of applause signs.

I just watched 'The Night Listener' though, and it was pretty damn good.

(please move this post to the 'i don't get it '08 thread)

Do other people's parents watch American Idol religiously?

I mean, I like to think that my parents are decent, educated people.  But they watch this show all the time no matter how much I yell at them.  I just don't get it.
