A few years ago, Tom declared "The Load-Out" as the worst song of all time. A couple years later, callers voted again and Tom declared the new worst song as "Porcupine Pie" and he paused it intermittently to make fun of Neil Diamond's enunciations.
Question: Is that the same 4/25/06 episode that is curiously absent from the archives (http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/bs)? If so, does anyone have a copy?
I'm trying to convert a non-Best-Show-listening friend (I know, I know) and I thought exposing him to that episode might be the clincher. If not, I will play him Tom's commentary from The Billy Crystal Incident. No mortal man can resist that.

the billy crystal "jazzman" character bashing starts approx. 1 hour into the show.

Has anyone heard the live version where Neal says that line and then groans "ooohhh mah gawd!" before launching into the instrumental break. Classic!

Wait, there's a studio version?

Maybe that's the version Tom always plays. I haven't heard it on the show in so long, I can't remember.

There's a studio version, I think, but Tom plays the one from Hot August Night.

There's definitely a studio version, but as Dan B said, Tom plays the live version from Hot August Night. One of my favorite parts of the highlight-laden second 2008 marathon show was Ben Gibbard including the "Oh God!" on his version of Porcupine Pie.
