Title: Where I Am, What I'm Doing.

Where I am:

Siesta Key, Florida. Here for my sister's wedding. Even though I am not a big beach person, I spent all yesterday baking in the Florida sun and reading the Aerosmith autobiography 'Walk This Way'.

Multiple coats of SPF 50 proved futile in my attempt to stay protected, so I am in exile up here in a room straight out of Scar-Face (glass tables, pastel everywhere) trying to recover.

So, what I am doing on this mini-vacation:

Watching a Farrelly Bros movie on Comedy Central

FUN FACT: I met a dude last night who played in the studio on Joan Jett's early albums. He told me that Brian Johnson from AC-DC lives down here and they have a little pick up band.

I don't know what it is about hotels that make you want to lie in bed and watch TV.

We would totally powwow Samir, but I am taking off for back home tomorrow afternoon. We can exchange the secret FOT handshake at a meetup up north sometime, I'm sure.

Things that are kinda different here:

-lots of anti-meth PSAs on the television.
-An Amber Alert was actually broadcast here like the old Emergency Broadcast System
-headache powder!
-Manatees!
-Publix!
-Every other gentleman looks like Morty Seinfeld

I'm gonna at least try and check out the Ringling Museum in Sarasota tomorrow, because I am getting kinda bored. Being a dumbass, I didn't get my own rental car, so I'll have to convince my brother to give me a lift.

I'm trying to be all manly about it, but this sunburn has me in some serious freakin' pain. Why the hell didn't I just wear a full Body Glove™ wetsuit while frolicking in the sun and surf?

Oh man I hate when I can feel the hot hot sun beating down on my burgeoning bald spot. I'm at once feeling the discomfort of heat as well as anticipation of the future pain that this exposure will cause.

Aw. Take a cool bath and put on some lotion. If you can find Nature's Gate Colloidal Oatmeal lotion... that always makes me feel better. I burn in about 15 minutes in the sun.
