My Yahoo Inbox has 5,798 unread messages in it. Mostly spam and things I subscribe to but don't read.

zero. Gmail filtering works really well.

And I try to empty my inbox to zero at least once a week.

I guess I should qualify that the best way to never see spam is to have server-side filtering.  Basically all that gmail does is filter for spam and the forward the messages to my .Mac account.  I just don't care about false positives.  If it's important, call me.

Hotmail can't filter fer crap.  I get like 15 emails a day to my inbox "RE: Here are those stamps you ordered"
