I'm very sorry Sarah. It brings tears to my eyes to hear this. I'm sure she was a happy baby, and Lily is a pretty name for a kitty.

from about 1st grade on a new one each year I would pine for. I was such a little creep.

I remember my mom and uncle would poke fun at me about it in a good natured way.
I guess if you have less stake in some "legacy" or whatever it means a lot less.

Post by: Sarah on May 12, 2008, 07:29:19 AM: Lily was very old--at least seventeen and a half, quite possibly more--and she had what was pretty close to a good death: some discomfort, but no agony, just a fairly speedy weakening culminating in the final paroxysm (literally). She died at home, surrounded by familiar things and critters. We should all be so lucky.

But death sucks, and I'm tired of it.
