I have begun to catalog calls obsessively; one positive benefit of this is to be able to keep track of who's making multiple calls, for those of you who want to to hear a recent history of repeat callers. Here's the first of potentially many ten-packs of calls from one person (albeit many characters.)
Times should be correct to within a couple of minutes.
2008 2 12 1:04 Wurster - Bill From Millersville Maryland
2008 2 19 0:25 Wurster - Marky Ramone :Mayubinatorial announcement
2008 2 26 0:51 Wurster - Bryce :Reggae Rage
2008 3 11 0:27 Wurster - Philly Boy Roy :A Tale of Two Sheilas
2008 3 11 2:05 Wurster - Linus :Wax On Wax Off + The Unwieldy Sentence
2008 3 18 0:45 Wurster - Marky Ramone :Shilling for Hey Ho Let's a Drummer's Life
2008 4 1 0:59 Wurster - Sleepy Jeff :Mayubinatorial announcement
2008 4 1 1:18 Wurster - Fake Jeep from Indianapolis :Riffing on the previous caller
2008 4 8 1:08 Wurster - Bryce :Olympic torch transport and 4 finger discounts
2008 4 8 2:23 Wurster - Pudge :Writing a symphony; Mayubinatorial announcement

I hate to say this, but do James next. I'd love to hear them all in quick succession.

-
Well, I just started this in February, and what I will do is just post up anybody who gets to 10, when it happens. I am not going back through the archives; I have almost 400 CDs I haven't heard yet!

The best thing about this is C______ J___'s final meltdown.
-
Hang on to the last James clip Spoolps posted for the classic Captain Jack meltdown: "You forgot all about Stevie Blue!"

That was a 4-Star flame out...right up until the weak "baby boy" capper. scum.

"...and if they say the wrong thing, we're gonna slap those little elves around. Let me tell you something... That's nothin'... That's.... ... You there?"

I just had to say, this is one of the best-best show moments ever for me. Sorry it has to involve James, but Tom's revenge at that moment was so perfect.
And you know what, apples weren't my favorite fruit until that moment too, Tom.

You know what I'd like is if somebody were obsessed enough to set up an IMDB-type website just for Best Show episodes, with clickable "Cast" lists and also a "Character" search.
You'd also have a soundtrack listing, and a "Movie Connections" page that could link to the imdb page of any movie or show mentioned within the course of the show (hey, you could see how many episodes cannonball run was mentioned in).
That would be awesome. Or sad?
-
Not sad, awesome.

There weren't any Wurster bits this week. :(
-
he's on tour in europe for another week or so, i'd be surprised if there's a call this week too
