I always feel bad for the artists on the block and want to give them a "smash," even when I'm listening to an archive from 2003 or something.

Was it Earl Jam? I remember some pretty harsh comments during their appearance.

Maybe that's it. Didn't Tom stop that one part of the way through due to Earl's toilet mouth?
