Okay, obviously I have been outed for my schoolyard-like crush. I have been in an emotionally vulnerable state after a recent romantic meltdown in my life. If anyone wants to make fun of me, just at least do it out in the open. I really want to crawl into a cave and die right about now.

Don't feel bad, Forrest.  I didn't think your actions were all that creepy, given this brave new age, and your crush's response suggests she didn't think they were, either.  Now all you have to do is suggest that you share some safe, pleasant activity (I have no idea what counts as suitable for first meetings; hell, I don't think I've been on a date in my life), and bob's your uncle.  Or not, if one or the other of you discovers that what you liked for a few moments of flirting doesn't support further congress.  But you can deal with that when the time comes.

P.S.  Next time you want to be anonymous, you'll be more careful to cover your tracks, so there's a useful lesson learned.

Bob was my uncle, well, great uncle.  He died many years ago.
