i was listening to the bad kids, bad parents show this morning and came across this (maybe old news?) which almost annoys me as much as bad kids: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24966666/?GT1=43001
ive got my mini-reasons but i cant really pinpoint why this annoys me. im probably just being a jerk.

You feel bad for the kids because most likely they were probably driven by parents who aren't fulfilled with their life just like any crazy sports dad. But, then there are kids who just have a zest for knowledge and truly love it and are gifted as well. So, whenever I see these stories I just hope it's the latter.

This annoys me, too. I think as a parent you do have to make sure your kids are building to their future, but really you also have to make sure they are enjoying being a kid. This grown-up thing is not really all it's cracked up to be at times.
Also, that this kid has gotten A's at a commmunity college doesn't prove he's Einstein reincarnate. I started at a community college (for financial reasons, don't judge). I think most smart sixth graders would have been smarter than 80% of my classmates there and could get A's. Plus, there was a good number of students that were just learning English.
