Title: Dear FOTs, need photo/video of the following
Post by: iAmBaronVonTito on June 11, 2008, 11:50:38 AM
from the picture thread(s) and videos ive seen by/from FOTs i was wondering...i have a close/good/best friend who is making a video and needs photos/video of the following:

1) Grandparents' faces
-Ma or Pa, doesn't matter
-Photo or video, doesn't matter
-BUT... I'd like the framing to look like the photo below (approx 24mm lens, medium close up, with a fairly shallow depth of field. Yes, I'm inspired by the NBA's "There Can Only Be One" ads. But it's not going to be like that)

2) Babies' faces
-Boy or Girl, doesn't matter
-Photo or video, doesn't matter

3) Cities
-If you live in a busy city, awesome.
-I'd like to get photos or video that show the story of the mass of humanity. Think Shibuya or Times Square or Eaton Square.

4) Rural Land
-If you live on a farm or in the desert, awesome.
-I'd like to get photos or video that show the story of the land. Think "Dances With Wolves" or Dorothea Lang or Blind Melon's "No Rain" video.

That's a good start I guess. Let's make the deadline June 23.

*note: you do get credit for whatever you forward (if it is used).  post it here, or email me: iambaronvontito2@gmail.com

unforunately, those are all the details i have for right now.  if you can help, thanks a million.  and thanks for reading.

Is your friend making a sequel to Koyaanisqatsi?

ha.

i can only assume he's making a music video or documentary of some sort.  he just got finished with a video for VEDERA (unfamiliar with this band), he handles a lot of business/video/touring for MAE, and in february flew to guatemala for a documentary he was filming that screened at a few film festivals this past spring.

the content or bands may not be much to speak of, but it pays the bills and he's doing what he loves...i can support that.
