Title: Slobs vs Snobs on the East River
Post by: mokin on July 01, 2008, 05:29:24 AM
This NYT article (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/24/arts/design/24isla.html) is about a tugboat captain dealing with some art school snobs on a motorboat.

Best quote:
"When I saw the kind of rig he was running, I didn't want him getting no closer. Joker like that? In a motorboat? I don't need that."

I liked this one, too:  ". . . Bob Henry, captain of the Rachel Marie, . . . looked out across the East River Thursday afternoon and saw another piece of conceptual art gaining on him . . . ."
