hey kids,

I'm in the market for a cheap used car. I'm dying out here without one but as a long time east coaster this is first time i've ever had to deal with this.

do any of you know of anyone who's trying to sell their car or know of any dealers that I could get something and not get ripped off. I'm not realy sure of my price range right now, cheaper is better but it has to work.

If you've got the time and means, you can use Craigslist or AutoTrader. I found exactly what I wanted on AT:

But avoid most lots. I've gotten speeding tickets that were less stressful than going to an LA-area dealership.
