The show was great. The World is in the Turlet was almost a religious experience. Top notch Paul Stanley impression. Also, those new songs absolutely shred. I can't wait for the new record.

yes, thank you so much ted! i would not have been able to get to NYC early enough to get tickets. what an excellent show!
my favorite new song was the last one that you played.
and quite an impressive setlist too! you pulled out hits that i wasn't expecting. the paul stanley intro to "hearts of oak" was hilarious, too!

Thank you Ted for putting on a great show and keeping most of us out of the vast swath of humanity waiting for tickets out front. Also, it was great meeting up with youse FoT: I got to talk to Emily, Emma, Herbie and Sarah (not from Maine),Wavy Gravy, JamesP, Spoony, Forrest, Neil Numberman and to anyone I forgot, my apologies. I'm old.
Thanks again to The One Who Got Us In!
Good times.

I've typed it before, I'll type it again. Thank you very much for the great night, Ted. Amazing show.
It was great to meet all you FOTs. We have to do this again soon.

Top notch Paul Stanley impression.
What'd he do? The "Cold Gin" preamble? The "That ain't a pistol. . " story?

"Is there anybody here that likes to drink tequila? Alright!"

Absolutely- thank you!
That was amazing! "Turlet" live was especially great- I was trying to explain it to my friend the whole time.
I was trying to see who might have been FOTs, but I wasn't sure.
Oh, and apparently Jeff Rosenstock was there.

so you guys are really going to keep rubbing it in that you can see ted leo play all the time, when i haven't seen him play since 2004? that's how it's going to be?

or that they had a FOT-tastic time!

No question TL's a great guy for doing this. But he can tell you where to get a double iced espresso in Arlington, VA? I didn't think so.
-
I'd like to add that I had a fantastic time from the moment I fot there to the moment I stumbled into a cab after I probably drunkenly told Numberman, Spoony, and Alan Vega that they were my best friends or something.
Ted--absolutely awesome show. I, too, really was digging the new stuff. Thank you so much for hooking us up.

Oh man, thanks TL for the awesome show and giving me a little false sense of entitlement as we got to cruise by all the suckers in line.
Also, big thanks to the whole Staten Island Ferry/Blarney Stone crew for making my first and definitely not last FOT meet-up an awesome experience.

If it makes you feel any better, I've never seen Ted Leo live. :(
(Hey, FOT. First post!)

The first time I went to see him, my friend's parents made us leave after like two songs because it was a school night. I think that was worse than not going at all.

This is our trade-off for putting up with the summer garbage stink everyday. I think it's worth it.

Someone post meet-up photographs so those of us elsewhere can feel like we were there.

Please tell me that when he sang "My name is Ted", something burst into flames.
-
Hey, Emily! You just saved me a trip to the "post a photo of yourself" thread.
For some reason, I turned around and I am the only one looking in your direction in that top photo.
Thanks!
-
aww, that's 'cause i called your name!
jk
:-)
thanks for making it a decisive moment!

I can contribute two weirdly lit photos!

(it strikes me that it might be strange for TL to come on to the forum and find photos of him he didn't know existed. Um.)
