Who is the journalist who calls Tom and says he's going to write a "real lid-blower" about toilet rock?
-
It's Bill (or maybe Phil) Chippert, with the Chippert Report, down here in Davenport, Iowa.
-
Thanks, Bryan - it's Bill Chippert. Also found it on FOTpedia:

This thread title is great for its open-endedness.
What's the name of the caller circa 2003-2004 who is from Manhattan and sounds like Andrew Wilson (the third Wilson brother)? I like that guy.
-
Whats the recent-ish show where Tom talks about going to the Beatles convention, and some guy tries to bust into a rendition of Mr. Moonlight?

Is your member name a GBV reference or a Key Losers (the band) reference?

I really love them, but they're masterminded by a pal of mine, so I'm not exactly objective.

So what ever became of the General? He hosted a show or two around the time our military treated Iraq to a pop-in. Anybody seen him on say- Fox "News"? He seemed all fair and balanced so it's a natural fit.

I would really like to know when Spike first appears? Can anyone point me to that show?

I seem to recall that Spike's first appearance was arguably the most hotly-debated piece of Best Show Continuity during the trading card process, but that whatever date made the final card was the result of very exhaustive research. So if anyone has the card on hand, they should be able to provide you with this info, and if anything that seems like a Spike call is ever unearthed that pre-dates the card, it should be considered the work of a caller who is very much like and perhaps an influence on Spike, but not, in fact, Spike himself.
-
The trading card says....3/2/04

The Spike GOMP that floats on the Internet is one of the early Spike calls. Most of those early calls didn't have any discussion between the two gentlemen and are not particularly important even in the History of Tom and Spike.
