Title: Blue
Post by: ChronoMojo on July 20, 2008, 10:33:54 AM
Okay, so yeah... I can't figure it out...  What is Blue, the mysterious lip balm, supposed to be?  Is it a product only available in Newbridge?  When was it first mentioned on the show?

It's a narcotic substance administered through lip balm that transforms your mind into a state that matches that of Stevie Blue's.

Here's the recap for the first mention of Blue -- it was brought into town by Wilhelm, an Austrian night nurse at Newbridge Acres.

Isn't it Das Seiben und der Elf?

Definitely a "der" in there.  It's one of the reasons I love the name so.

Phonetically, more or less "Dass Zeeben oont dare Elf."

Big Steve is right... That way it translates to "The Seven and the Eleven"

I know a little German (the little you receive from taking it in high school) and I just know that "der", "die" and "das" are all forms of the word "the" and I couldn't remember which one Tom used.

It wouldn't have mattered if you were fluent.

Both nouns are feminine in non-Newbridgian German.
