As there are several ABBA boxes out there, I'm wondering if this is Tom's.

I don't think that's the one. The official ABBA Box is the one where all od the CDs are made to look like vinyl LPs.

No, that's the one.
-
Jeez, Tom certainly wasn't kidding about how valuable that thing is.

Where's the googley eyes?

I've enjoyed the amusement (my own little joke, I guess) from thinking that the fabled ABBA box is actually a special, separate machine that can be hooked up to, say, WFMU's audio equipment and broadcast. In a word, a separate "device." How would this device be designed? Well, I imagine that it's plastic and maybe yellow and orange, possibly magenta, a color combination that is bright and cheery and that I associate with the 70s. Those colors don't really reflect the two ABBA album covers I owned (sent to me by distant relatives in Sweden!), but they seem right for the ABBA device.
