Hi all - I was wondering where, or if there is, a good place to download Best Show MP3 archives. I can't listen to the streaming archives on the official site and was hoping to load up my ipod with some early shows. I've already played the 7 recent episodes I have to death. Thanks!

While not mp3 archives, these two links (http://www.friendsoftom.com/forum/index.php/topic,2249.0.html) to earlier topics (http://www.friendsoftom.com/forum/index.php/topic,3294.0.html) might help.
Also, there's the Best Show Vault (http://bestshowvault.blogspot.com/).

Thanks for the info. I'm on a Mac, so I'm gonna have to do a bit of working to do this. Too late to try it tonight, but I'll see if I can get through it tomorrow.

Anybody know the new location for the .rm/.mp3 archives? The old address isn't working anymore. PM me!

I hadn't checked in a while, but...have the old .rm files been moved somewhere altogether different? All I see in the archive now are .mp3's that only go back to last year. If someone has an updated address for the .rm archive, I would greatly appreciate a PM!

Has anyone figured this out? I would also really appreciate a PM.

Aw man, I just discovered this last night. I knew there was a WFMU archive, but had no idea that you couldn't just download files from it. I listen to Best Show on an iPod Nano, and don't have any mobile devices capable of using the Archive Page's pop-up flash player.
I really wanted to listen to the shows from August-October 2011 due to some things I've read about that happened during that stretch.
How can I get hold of those episodes?

It's a pain, but every so often I set an old episode up to play overnight and use Audio Hijack to capture it as an MP3. Wish there was a more convenient way but I don't know of any.

Since these are fairly recent, they're still a part of the podcast feed. You can download them by subscribing or visiting this page: http://wfmu.org/podcast/BD.xml. (http://wfmu.org/podcast/BD.xml.) These won't have the opening music sets, though.

Oh nice. Last night I must have been looking at a different feed because it only went back as far as November 2011 (I think it's the same feed iTunes is using). This one goes back a fair amount further. Thanks! EDIT: Hmm, looks like most of the ones from before Nov 2011 are re-broadcasts from previous years. Will have to check this out further.
@cavorting with nudists - I've been considering doing that as well. Just letting one record per night. Got to figure out what program will do that best.

woah hey sorry that was the link to the amazing Best Show Gems podcast xml instead of the Best Show on WFMU podcast xml (http://wfmu.org/podcast/BS.xml (http://wfmu.org/podcast/BS.xml)), which at the moment only goes back to November 21, 2011.
