Title: Jonathan Richman - Girlfriend / Road Runner

Recorded at Joey Ramone's Birthday Party at NYC's Coney Island High in May,1998. A rare live performance of Girlfriend and Roadrunner by Jonathan Richman and original Modern Lovers bassist, Ernie Brooks.

I shot this for a public access show I used to have about 10 years ago called "Rock and Roll High School."(after the Ramones movie of the same name) It was shown in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

He was questioning the statement "after the Ramones movie of the same name," since it's the only rock 'n' roll high school that I've ever heard of.

Oh.  I was actually kind of glad that he wrote that as it suggested a "reaching out" to people who may not be "in the know".
