I think it might even be better than "Porcupine Pie" as far as enjoyably bad songs go. It was the B-side to "Seasons in the Sun". It's AMAZING. If anyone hasn't heard it, I can upload it, if that's okay.

I would like to hear it.
-
I would, too, especially since "Seasons in the Sun" is one of the songs I most hate in this world.
-
You just like that French dude.
I know he was Belgian.
-
You've been paying attention! (Although I hated "Seasons in the Sun" before I'd ever heard "Le Moribond." In fact, I didn't even make the connection between the two right away, so unfaithful to the original Jacks's version is.)

Submitted for you amusement..... Put the Bone In.

C'mon. You don't want to miss this.
-
It confused me. I honestly don't understand it or why it was written and performed.
-
The most insane thing is that it was the b-side for Seasons in the Sun. I mean, they put out one of that all-time sentimental weepers and then put THIS as the b-side? It's both goofy and creepy at the same time. Was it intended as a double-entendre "dirty" song? Or am I reading too much into it?
-
If you are, then I am too.
-
can't. stop. listening. ;D
-
My favorite moment musically is about 2/3 through where there is that "put the bone in" with extra oomph.
The whole thing is a lyrical gem, but my favorite line is
"the meat from the pork is sweet
give the bone from the pork meat to me"
-
It sounds like we should discuss it on The Best Show, but maybe not for a while.

Two or three WFMU DJs have discussed this already and there's no traction.
Maybe this could be your book.
-
i love the out-of-tune backup singers.
-
I actually had a tune I wanted to submit for consideration as worst song ever, but I don't know how to post an mp3. I'm an idiot. If anyone can let me know the best way to do it, I'd be grateful.
The song is Hornschmeyer's Island by The Flock. Here's the lyrics, although it really has to be heard to be believed:
Once I was born on a day that was new
Now there is clover all covered with dew
Fields of a green grass that melt into blue
Billowing white clouds that pass under you
We're all on Hornschmeyer's Island
We're not the same at all
We're all on Hornschmeyer's Island
We're not the same at all, at all
Temples of mind-thought through tunnels of you
Holes in a sky that we all can look through
Whispering birds fly and so can you, too
Floating upstream in a music canoe
We're all on Hornschmeyer's Island
We're not the same at all
We're all on Hornschmeyer's Island
We're not the same at all, at all
Trees point their fingers describing the view
Winds carry fragrance le jasmin parfum
This is a land where all dreams can come true
You are your brothers and they are all you
I have to confess that I love this song. Still, I think it's in the Porcupine Pie/Cowboy Star league. And Put The Bone In.
Thanks to all -

I don't know that song, but you, me, No Smokin and whatever other Adjective Joe's there are should get together for beers and talk about the show sometime.
-
We'll meet over a cup of Joe.
-
Perhaps any hungry carnivores among you will order Sloppy Joes.
-
Maybe later on you can all make each other some "joegurt."
Hmm, there's no smiley for vomiting.
-
Making Joegurt is a very, very private activity, turlet mind. I just wanted to meet another fan and talk about the show!
-
AND it was covered by Kevin Smith's favorite band....
