...Who cannot get on the Jeremy Piven bandwagon?
-
Cupid was a good show.

What, you hate hair plugs?

Not at all. I'm a prospective plugger. I'd hope mine look less natural, though.
What I do hate is method acting, where the method is 'I'm not angry because I'm short and bald, I'm angry because I can't hold a candle to Ted McGinley.'

OR Ted Knight.

I liked PCU for some reason. And he was the best thing on "Ellen" (Hey, I watched a lot of Oxygen Network when I had cable)
-
He's one of the most obnoxious actors this side of Ryan Reynolds. He just really gets under my skin. You are not alone.
-
Yeah PCU is one of the best "college" flicks. He's better in that kind of a role. I don't think anybody can make a career out of the a-hole role because it becomes annoying and you get the feeling the guy is one.

Why in the blazes would there be a Jeremy Piven bandwagon? I like him a lot as an actor actually, but I don't get the bandwagon question at all.
I'm hooked on Entourage though, I have to admit. He's great as Ari Gold, but Ari Gold is the character you love to hate but somehow I end up rooting for him even though he's a terrible person. If one admires the Ari Gold character, however, one really should get one's head checked and/or check out sensitivity training.

Ari said "tent pole" !!!
-
He sucked on SNL. Not that that it the measure of somebody (Dane Cook hosted once as well).
-
And Dane Cook being the spokesperson for Major League Baseball is just sad, sad, sad. It makes me not like baseball quite as much.
I'm not hooked on Entourage anymore. I listened to it tonight. I didn't watch it, just listened occasionally while I was doing more important things, like checking email. I don't love to hate Ari Gold anymore. It seems like the writing is weaker than in previous seasons, or maybe it's just a concept with a short shelf life. Also, the show seems to take these characters a little too seriously, when in fact they are basically not the most admirable people. I still like Eric and Lloyd a lot. Maybe it's just not for me.

Piven isnt that bad you can't go wrong he has great delivery. Plus he comes from a family of actors.
I found the funniest Piven picture ever:

I'm not pro- nor anti-, but I gotta say [and by way of a little background here, I reFUSED to watch this movie for years after it came out based on my impression that it was actually about Sub Pop and "the Seattle scene," but was eventually convinced by my little sister that it was just a normal ro-co, barely tangentially touching on the Seattle music scene, agreed to watch it with her, developed a short fantasy life with both Kyra Sedgwick AND Brigit Fonda (!!?!?), and eventually was able to have a laugh WITH the movie for what it was - just a normal ro-co], his little turn in "Singles" as the check-out guy was hilarious...
Should this have gone under "Lighthouse Confessions?"

Kyra Sedgwick
Who has a mouth not unlike a monkfish's. Not necessarily a drawback in many boys' eyes, or so I gather.

Speaking of Ms. Sedgwick, I'm loving her TNT series The Closer to the point where I can't remember the last time I listened to the radio on a Monday night. Please consider this post to be my public apology to Mike Lupica.
