You can rip off Apple for student discounts even without an ID card.
-
Rip off? More like get Apple down to reasonable prices.

Too bad you don't have a pro baseball team. You can use that ID to get into games for dirt cheap. Like 3 or 4 dollars cheap once a week. The teams expect you to drink a lot of beer and most of the kids that go fulfill that expectation. It's doubtful that you're going to see that perk with a brand new NBA team although I think there are discounts for the Wolves here in MN.

I was really surprised at how good the Apple educational discount was, though I most recently forgot to use it. My school had a "custom store" online, but I'm pretty sure it was the same as the regular discount anyway.
Maybe the people paying for Photoshop at all are professionals who need more than Elements anyway, but this (http://journeyed.com/itemDetail.asp?itmNo=29941033&pres_view=specs) is a pretty good deal.

I bet I can get Adobe software for even cheaper than that.

If you're ever at the MOMA, you get your 20 dollar ticket for free with a SUNY ID. It's not so great with a private or out of state ID (12 bucks) but hey, it's money saved.

Just be sure to send in the rebates. I was a moron and didn't . A MORON

I think you can get travel discounts on flights, hotels, etc. depending on where you're going.

My dad got me Microsoft Office for $20 from some hospital thing- it's not educational, but it's worth checking if your place of work or that of a friend/family member has a similar program.

Speaking of, a lot of hotels/motels offer discounts if you have a AAA card.

Student rate for MS Office is $60, which is still a good deal.

Last Summer some friends and I used our expired IDs (I graduated at the ass end of '05, my ID says class of '06, and it was '07) to get 1/2 off our entrees at this Mexican restaurant in Mystic, and no one questioned us.
-
I finished college in '02 and I still use my ID to get cheap Twins tickets.
-
I use my expired military id as a bounty hunting license.
-
i only attended 2 semesters and still use it for the movies, airline tickets, etc.
