Space Invaders Extreme is a really great updated retro game. (Doubly retro, actually, as the premise is retro 1978 and the title is retro 1999.)

can one fucking store please carry a game for ds that isn't  aimed at 8 year olds?  how many different versions of nintendogs do they need?  nobody has anything that would appeal to an adult baby.

I think there's a GTA game for the Nintendo DS that's either already out or is coming soon. Dunno if you're into those games, but it's definitely not aimed at 8-year olds.

Illegal ollie is here:

You can buy a memory cartridge thing for around 30 quid, which you can then download and transfer loads of games on to. That would be a good idea.

the brain age games are good, but only for small amounts of time.  it can only "measure" your IQ daily, so it does you no good to work at getting better in an hour since it's already taken your score the first time you play any of the activities.

unfortunately, i dont own a DS (i merely play them if i find one laying around), so i dont have any suggestions.  sorry.

Can a DS do NES and SNES emulation?

I think it can, although I haven't been able do do much research because "games" is one of the few things my company filters pretty agressively. If so, I won't be buying any games, I'll just be playing Altered Beast or Battletoads all day.

You wouldn't have to be online. You just get one of those memory cards Bobby was talking about and it boots right from there.

I was just saying that I would have figured out how to do it by now except that games are filltered, so I can't get to any DS homebrew sites to figure it out.

There are a LOT of excellent DS games.  What genres of games are you into?  There are a lot of really unique and creative games out for the DS.

fun games, mostly.  nothing too involved, but no nintendogs.  I want something a little challenging, but probably not a final fantasy type game.

I don't have a DS but that's where I go to read about video games. Also, most Blockbusters rent DS games. I've also heard Guitar Hero: On Tour is supposed to be really good if you are into those games.

how sad is it that I'm sitting in my first ever MBA class and looking up video games?  Good thing it's just an excel overview.

Here are the games I play the most on my DS.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2
Hotel Dusk
Yoshi's Island
Mario Kart DS
Professor Layton
Contra

If you study Japanese make sure to get Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten. It's a decent JPN-ENG dictionary that you can keep with you at all times.
