If either candidate plays the Theremin, they have my vote!
-
I hereby pledge that if Tom ever wants to put out a 7" of mouth-theremin, I will fully fund the recording, artwork, pressing, and distribution.
-
I hereby make a similar pledge if Tom ever covers Bill Clinton covering VU.
-
With McCain in his backup band! He can do the vocal parts on theremin.
-
Remember when they dug up those guys from John Kerry's highschool surf-combo? Good times.

I think Jerry is going to be upset with Obama http://www.democraticstuff.com/Thereminists-for-Obama-Photo-Button-p/bt23707.htm (http://www.democraticstuff.com/Thereminists-for-Obama-Photo-Button-p/bt23707.htm)

Damn I just posted this in a separate thread. Someone please delete the new thread.

I've been repeating the McCain/theremin joke (with attributions) for a week, and it's a huge hit.

I wonder if he'll play tonight at the debate?
Like a "The Devil Came Down to Georgia" duel between McClain and Obama.

Speaking of music and presidential candidates, has Obama or McCain put out a "campaign song" yet? I remember, by this time in 92, we were up to here with "Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow."
I think Obama should go with "Flying High Again" by Ozzy and McCain should use "Run Like Hell" by Pink Floyd.

I think Obama's closes his speeches with Stevie Wonder's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours' and yes, McCain's been using ABBA's 'Take a Chance on Me'.

How hilarious is it that McCain would choose a song entitled "Take a Chance on Me"? Hey, I might totally fuck up this presidency thing ... but take a chance on me. Maybe I'll lose my temper while on an European diplomatic mission, and punch Nicolas Sarkozy in the face. I dunno, crazier things have happened, right? Or maybe it'll be something more subtle, like the gradual onset of senility. And of course, there's always the possibility I could kick the bucket and leave my beloved country in the hands of Mrs. GILFy Alaska.
But ... Take a Chance on Me!!! Buppa ba ba BAAA ... Buppa ba ba baa ...
Hey kids, have you heard my hilarious version of Barbara Ann (http://rawstory.com/printstory.php?story=5773)?

I don't know if you know this already, but Obama actually put out a whole album: Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement (http://store.barackobama.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CD3000)

Obama's campaign song is Nas' "Black President." I'm not entirely sure, but I think McCain's is "Three Days" by Jane's Addiction.
-
Apparently Huckabee now has a show on Fox News called Huckabee. I caught the end of it and it was, of course, Huck jamming on his bass with the house band.

I did not know that ... Still, no Ozzy? Everyone knows the road to the White House goes right through The Blizzard!
(I am not really that big a fan of Ozzy)
