I finally found a great French bakery in Stockholm, and it's just down the street! Their croissants and their chouquettes are exquisite. I went there twice today already.
However, they don't upen until 9 am! 9 am! And they're closed on Sundays! What kind of bakery is that? You're supposed to open at 5 or 6 in the morning. Clearly not hardhat. And what, you have the day off on Sundays? Afraid to put in a little bit of work? Sure, it's a posh part of the city, and I suppose all the rich people sleep in, but come on guys.

My favorite bakery is closed on Sunday, too! At least they open at 7 and I can go before work.

There was a wonderful Belgian bakery here in Boulder. In a typical Boulder move, it went out of business and was replaced by a place called VG Burger that serves vegan veggie burgers. "Organic food fast." It's actually very good, but come on. I only feel like spending $12 on a veggie burger, some fries, and caffeine-free soda every so often.
However, since, I have discovered to joys of Mexican panaderias which are super cheap and super delicious.

They make schnecken at my bakery that's cooked in butter. I would hate to trade that for vegan burgers.

Danish Pastry House! I haven't actually had their Danish pastries yet due to my attempted commitment to healthy eating, but they look delicious.
