NEW YORK -- Comedian Zach Galifianakis has snagged lead roles in Todd Phillips' comedy "The Hangover" for Warner Bros. and the HBO pilot "Bored to Death."
In "Hangover," Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms play best buddies at a wild Las Vegas bachelor party who lose the groom just hours before his wedding. Legendary Pictures is producing with Warners, and filming is set to begin this weekend.
In "Death," Galifianakis plays Ray, a struggling comic book artist and best friend to Jonathan (Jason Schwartzman), an alcoholic writer who pretends to be a private detective. Ted Danson also stars in the project from writer Jonathan Ames and director Alan Taylor.
The CAA/Brillstein Entertainment-repped actor recently appeared as Ashton Kutcher's sidekick in "What Happens in Vegas" and will be seen in Disney's upcoming action-adventure film "G-Force."

The Hangover sounds like it could be okay. Todd Philips' movies are usually fairly entertaining (aside from School for Scoundrels). I'm worried that it looks like a shitty writing team (from the guys that brought you Martin Lawrence's Rebound!) but it could be a fun movie.
Bored to Death definitely has me excited though. Although the last time Jason Schwartzman was in a sitcom that had a good creator (Mike White), we got Cracking Up. I hope the show makes it though. I hear way too many damn stories about HBO and Comedy Central filming pilots with talented comedians that never get aired.

I'm guessing he'll be dressed in an owl costume:

The HBO show could be good. I really like Jonathan Ames' novels.

I Love You More Than You Know is one of my all-time favorite books.

If it does't get aired maybe at least Wholphin will put it out on one of their DVDs.
