Dear Tom,
I am coming to the New York area in October and a local friend wants to take me to Enid's for brunch. What do I do??????
-
Do it! Enid's is fine. Just don't do any coke in the baffroom and you'll have a great time.
Unless you're looking to do coke.
Tom.

My advice to you -- get there early (before the drunks roll out of bed), expect the soda to be a little flat, stay away from the free coffee unless you want acid reflux and the jitters, and I recommend the fried cheese grits (they really need to change the name, it's not gross).
There are much better places to eat around there, if you're actually looking for "food." If however, the goal is to chuckle at some people, enjoy.

Maybe you'll get to see a cadaver freshly risen from the East River.

And you can engage it in some palaver.
