Advice to stop dogs from pooing on your lawn.

Leave a cola bottle full of water out on your lawn and other dogs won't poo on it.

Is this some kind of superstition amongst dogs? Like "I won't sit on a bed that has a hat on it"?

why do i have a feeling someone is gonna run video on me setting the bottle on the lawn and then, hours later, returning to find a steaming pile right next to it? just to catch the look of extreme disappointment on my face and broadcast it to millions.
