The thought of having PFT in my life every week brings me great joy.
I really hope this thing is wildly successful, he certainly is more than deserving of it.

the new show will be more written-through, and may even have a less mean-spirited take, more in line with Mr. Tompkins’s genial point of view.
Thank goodness. I can't stand the show as it is now, but I'll def give it a chance with Saul's brother in the hotseat.

I like how people are afraid they won't be getting their weekly dose of Frangela. Reading all those comments just confused me, I just can't comprehend how anyone could think he was the worst part of the show.

PFT also got the top spot in the AST Stand Up Comedy Poll :) For like the 5th time in a row or something. Go Paul!
I will miss seeing some comedians on TBWE... John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Doug Benson, etc. etc.

I used to sometimes just fast forward through it and look for PFT anyway- now I'll be able to watch the whole show.

I'm upset that every comment calls him "Paul F Thompkins."
Erika - Benson and Kroll will continue to contribute, along with Mike Britt, Frangela, Christian Finnegan, Greg Fitzsimmons, Chuck Nice, Melissa Rauch and Jessica St. Clair.

Good. That show was an excellent vehicle for "alternative" comedians to get decent work. I don't think that should be overlooked, and I'm glad it's not.

I apologize to you most whole-heartedly. I sincerely thought that "Jeremy" was "james". I now have pieced together that "Poughkeepsie" is "james". I regret the error, not only because it was a swipe at your character, but more so because it makes no sense.
For that matter, I don't even dislike james. It's all a part of the flow of the pregram. Please accept my apology and carry on.

This man is a giant among men and deserves no less than his own show. My heart is warmed by this news and I think we owe Mr. Tompkins a hearty congratulations. I just hope he still tours, records albums, and visits the Best Show on occasion.

Bummer about PFT taking over my favorite show. Guess it's doomed now. Luckily there's this awesome new radio show called Shut Up, Weirdo that's going to fill the void.

Also, congrats to PFT for becoming the first comedian to become #1 comedian on the Comedy Zone board for five times in a row! Truly a remarkable achievement!

Watching the new Best Week Ever tonight, I was a little afraid that Kevin Smith was going to eat PFT.

Was this a triumph or what? I can't remember the last time I laughed so much at a half-hour television programme.
One thing, though - can't we get someone to bolt down that table? I feared for Mr. Tompkins' safety. Get on it, VH1.
