"The Last Days of Man on Earth" musicblog has a post on New Jersey hardcore, accompanied with a podcast sampler of some of the bands:

Check out the flier in the middle of the post. The "Hot Dog House" ("Home of Hardcore on the Jersey Shore") seems custom built for a future Hammerhead call.
