Title: WFMU's Electile Dysfunction '08

I was kinda looking forward to see what Tom would do for the special day.  :(

That said, Billy Jam's fill-in sounds promising. And EFD's show should be fun too.

"WFMU's Electile Dysfunction '08, a separate webcast of political music, comedy, commentary, and audio art."

I saw that, but the fact that it says it's a separate webcast makes me think normal programming will continue on the air. I'm hoping so, anyway.

Irwin and Bill Kelly are conspicuously absent.

It's actually a seperatist webscast anchored by Todd Palin.

Can I forward your comments to my mom as proof that my English degree wasn't a waste after all?

Billy Jam made a comment on his show on friday, between Peanutbutter Wolf dropping the F-bomb, that it was going to be a separate webcast.  Then he said that going head to head with Tom was like playing in the same town the night the Beatles where playing.  Personally i may have used Led Zeppelin ZOSO era as a comparison, but what do i know.

sounds like Evan Funk Davies show will be awesome!!!!

Fear not, people! I will be on the air next week to watch Obama lock up the Eastern seaboard.

And don't forget to vote!

For Obama!

If you're going to vote for anybody else, FORGET TO VOTE!

Tom.

Georgia looks like it's actually sorta competitive, but McCain's probably got a lock on South Carolina. Bummer. Otherwise, the eastern seaboard would really be all locked down, assuming Obama pulls off North Carolina. At least the west coast and upper midwest are all nice and bluish!

Or is the only part that counts located north of the Potomac River?

Tom ... You shouldn't discourage people from voting.

Except Republicans.  So, in this case, good on ye, sir.

I waited 3 hours to vote today. I really hope Ohio goes the right way - I want no part of the "credit" for Sarah Palin's proximity to the presidency should the worst happen.

Speaking of the worst happening, a guy told me he isn't voting at all because he doesn't want to vote Obama into being assassinated.

What happened to "Hope?"  Sheesh!

I just got back from taking the SATs and this is still the dumbest thing I've read all day.

You are not wrong, Emma.  Since saying that, I've spoken to that guy again, and it turns out he's not even registered to vote in California.  I guess he gets to go to sleep with a clean conscience ... some how.

P.S.  How'd you do on nem Saturday Afternoon Tests?  A'h you an astronauuut ar a statey?*

*Translation:  Are you and astronaut or a state police officer?  In reference to The Departed.  Yeah, that's right, I went from Phillynesian to Bostonglish in one line of text!
